folk

This week has been different. I am off from work to rest. So I have been doing all kind of different things like going to eat pancakes to city when there is crazy snowstorm,  went to sauna in the middle of week at my moms place, finished knitting hat for Kirsika, and yesterday evening I and Ede went to Tartu Danceclub. Actually this is the reason why I write. I don't know what kind of image you have when you hear danceclub.
But what it means here... is that there are musicians playing folk music (violin players and accordion and some more) and the point is (or learn to) dance folk dances. There are some who know dances and they start to dance and others are learning the dance from them. I have been there before on my University first and second year. It was fun. So I decided to go there again.
This time we learned Danish folk dance chopped chicken. It was fun. Fortunately it wasn't possible for us to stay till end.It was nice dance.  Probably I'll do that again, I mean I'll go there again. Actually I was surprised how international folks there were. They needed to teach in English.
Anyway today I'll to to swim and then to massage.

Tough Choices: A Memoir

So here it is - The Masters Mission graduation picture...

....

My Midsummer Day meant that I had three days off from work. As in many other countries it is usually the day when people gather together to burn bonfires, stay up all night (it is just too short to go to bed) etc.
This time it was rainy and my friends Jüri and Jaana told us (I and Ede) that it is even impossible to led the bonfire because it had rained all day long.
So no bonfire this time... but we still had good time together with Maarja Liisa and Jonathan and board game called Estonia. It was good time, felt a little like a family.

So since it was rainy, its was time to read a book. This time I had book that Mihkel (our bible school director) forgot here.. it was Tough Choices, a memoir by Carly Fiorina . Good reading....it took me three days. It is just hard to stop when the book is soooo engaging.

...and Jo, about our mice here in Tartu.... we caugth 4 of them during our hunting season some weeks ago and now they are OUT. no mice in my kitchen have seen after that!! While our hunting season I even saw them in my dreams. I didn't like the idea, that I can go to kitchen and see dead body in a mouse trap. I even did nedd to see them, Ede did that for me. My part was to put the trap up.

Wow, Eurovision & Simon Mathew

I watched Eurovision 2nd semifinal on Thurday and I really liked Denmark's song. But what I found out today is that the singer is Simon Mathew himself.... Good luck to Denmark!

look what the Lord has done

Last weekend was so great! I am on a vacation til 13th May. Jeeii.. So it just fun to do something else than going to work. So what I have been involved with then...

We just had The Masters Mission weekend. It was amazing! This time we had planned to serve two churches in Viljandi county instead of having classes. So we all met on Friday and Algis  thought about public speaking and after that we started to plan our trip to Viljandi county on Saturday. On Friday evening's meeting people where not so happy about the fact that they need to wake up at 5.30 a.m. (to get to right place on 9.00 a.m.) on Saturday morning. Saturday,  3rd May, was also day when about 50 000 Estonians decided to clean up trash from forests (and we have it a lot here). So we decided also that we will clean up in Abja-Paluoja, we also had a service there. Our plan was just to do work for 2 hours then have a service (students did worship, preaching, testimonies and also led the service and of course children work) in Abja-Paluoja, have a quick lunch and then do another service on 3 p.m. in Kilingi-Nõmme.

But God had another idea.

While we where cleaning our area, being all blah about the trash, came local press to take photos, then came man who leads local municipality. He was very friendly and pretty surprised that people all over Estonia has come to clean an area in Abja. He told that we should come to Halliste and met our president Toomas Hendrik Ilves over there. We where a little puzzled how this will fit to our plans, but we managed to fit this in. So after service (which went great), we met our president, shake hands with him and took a picture with him and his wife. Then we went on to have a lunch in public pub, fun was that Mr President had his lunch also over there. After lunch one part of group had to move on to have a second service in Kilingi-Nõmme. Other student who did children work in Abja stayed there. People in Kilingi-Nõmme church where so excited about us. They enjoyed the service and afterwards they wanted us to pray for healing. But God thing is that Hanna told in the morning that she has a feeling that we are probably going to pray for healing. And there you go. It happened in Kilingi-Nõmme. We where amazed. So day went on and in the evening we where thinking who would like to talk about our trip on Sunday service in Tartu. Nobody didn't want to talk, so girls sent an SMS  to another student, Marko on a very late evening.  But what they didn't know was that actually Marko  before  he fell a sleep  thought that it would be so great to talk about this trip on Sunday service.  That's God thing!

I have to say that on every session I feel like God is washing my heart, my soul. Thank you!

Be blessed!
